Anne Katz

Policy Associate

Anne Katz is a Policy Associate at EducationCounsel with experience in federal and state advocacy, policy research and K-12 education. In her previous role, she advocated on behalf of university, nonprofit, municipality, and corporate clients at the federal level on a wide-ranging portfolio of policy, budgetary, and regulatory issues. Anne also served as a Leadership for Educational Equity (LEE) Fellow with New America's Early & Elementary Education team, where she focused on financing strategies for early educators seeking college degrees.

Anne began her professional career in Baltimore, MD as a 4th grade teacher with Teach For America (TFA). Anne also served as an intern with the Center for American Progress' Women's Initiative, where she focused on paid family and medical leave policies. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Political Science from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
