Bridget Smith

Policy Associate

Bridget Smith is a Policy Associate at EducationCounsel. Prior to joining EducationCounsel, Bridget worked as a research assistant for Dr. Amber Rowland at the University of Kansas Center for Research on Learning. Bridget’s interest in the intersection of policy and education led her to intern for the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Special Education Programs, the U.S. Senate, and the Scottish Parliament. As the sister of someone with Down syndrome, Bridget’s past experiences have focused on disability, special education, and parent engagement. She graduated from Oberlin College with a B.A. in Politics and Education Studies and received her master’s degree in Education, Globalization, and International Development from the University of Cambridge.
