ALERT: USED RIF, Antisemitism Enforcement, PSLF EO, Legal Developments

This EducationCounsel Alert includes updates about various recent Trump Administration executive actions relevant to education, including: 

  1. A massive reduction in force (RIF) at the U.S. Department of Education (USED);
  2. Unprecedented enforcement actions against Columbia University (and targeted investigations of 60 other universities) for allegedly failing to take sufficient action against antisemitism on campus;
  3. An executive order (EO) calling for changes to reduce access to the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program (PSLF); and
  4. Developments in education-related litigation against Trump Administration actions.
