Reginald (Reggie) Nash has deep knowledge of policy, advocacy, coalition strategy, and stakeholder engagement at the local, state, and national levels. He previously served at The Education Trust (EdTrust) in its national office and as an early team member in establishing their Nashville-based Tennessee office. Across multiple leadership roles at EdTrust, Reggie helped oversee legislative and government affairs strategy, led coalition and strategic partner engagement in multiple states, and played a key role in securing policy wins and developing issue campaigns centered on protecting and strengthening public education and advancing education equity and access from early childhood through postsecondary. 

Prior to joining EdTrust, he served as a policy fellow for the House Democratic Caucus of the U.S. Congress, served as a kindergarten teacher in Tennessee’s Achievement School District in Memphis with Teach For America, and participated in a host of leadership development and policy fellowship programs across the country. Prior to transitioning into education policy and advocacy, he began his professional career in Houston’s marine and energy sector providing commercial insurance and risk management services to multinational clients.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Houston-Downtown and a Master of Public Policy degree from Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College of Education and Human Development.
