Sujith Cherukumilli is a Senior Policy Advisor at EducationCounsel. Prior to joining EducationCounsel, Sujith served as a policy advisor for the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee, leading the Committee’s work on issues including, but not limited to, workforce development, youth apprenticeships, higher education quality and accountability, and academic freedom. While on the Hill, Sujith also led the education and labor portfolio for a senior member of the House Education and Workforce Committee and worked on education issues for a senior member of the HELP Committee. Prior to his time on Capitol Hill, Sujith was a policy analyst at the Southern Education Foundation, where he developed and executed policy and advocacy efforts designed to ensure all students across the South have access to a high-quality public education. He began his career as a 7th grade English teacher in Las Vegas, Nevada.
